An Istanbul Classic

The year was 1948 when Habes usta came to Istanbul. He opened the first manufacturing place in 1952 in Laleli Harikzade street and started to produce his delicious baklava there. During these years, he made both retail sale and wholesale to elegant restaurants. In 1958, by opening his second branch in Büyük Reşit Paşa Street, he developed the sales network.

In beginning of 1960`s, HABES Usta was known a famous baklava and kadaifi producer in whole İstanbul. His desserts taste was so wonderful so people pays a great interest to the desserts and  they  were making queues in front of the shop. These queues took places in famous newspapers. Not only people living in Istanbul but also tourists showed interest to this delicious taste. They carried these tastes to their own country.

In 1970`s when sales increased so high, new shops were opened in Bakirkoy and Kadikoy Region. Also  a new shop was opened in the famous underground shopping center in Aksaray Region. In 1978 a new manufacturing place and also a retail shop that is still working were opened in Ordu Street in Laleli Region. It was the biggest baklava manufacturing place of these days. Seyidoglu was being mentioned with Laleli that means `with tulips` in Turkish so the company used tulip figure as a logo to show its loyalty to Laleli.

In 1980`s Habes Usta decided to open a bigger place in Gungoren to demands.  Today Seyidoglu is  the biggest in this sector. To meet increasing demand, Habes Usta decided to open a bigger place in Gungoren. With these theses, Seyidoglu started production of Halvas, Cams and Turkish Delights besides baklava and kadaifi. In 1990`s new branches were opened in various places.

After 1990, he determined new strategies about opening new branches, foreign trade and production. And now Seyidoglu distributing its indispensible tastes to taste the lover with its more than 50 branches in Turkey, 17 sale points in the world and over 4 tons of daily production capacity.
